About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Quality Inspector to join a well-established engineering company based in Poole. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring components and assemblies meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that supplies parts to the aerospace and defence industries.



Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect aerospace and precision-engineered components to engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

  • Carry out in-process, final, and goods-in inspections using a range of manual and digital measurement tools.

  • Operate or interpret data from CMMs and optical measurement systems.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure full traceability of materials and products.

  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained.



Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in aerospace, defence, or precision manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 standards.

  • Experience creating FAIRs.

  • Proficient in the use of measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).

  • Experience with CMM and/or optical inspection systems is advantageous.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
