The Machine Shop Supervisor will be responsible for leading a skilled team within a key manufacturing cell, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and delivery. You’ll play a vital role in driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of accountability and performance.

As Machine Shop Supervisor, you will:
- Oversee and coordinate daily operational activities to meet key performance targets across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team development.
- Foster a culture of safety by supporting risk assessments, workplace organisation practices, and proactive reporting of potential issues.
- Encourage high standards by identifying root causes of problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Monitor team performance, manage resources, and support cross-training to enhance flexibility and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of operational challenges.
- Assist with people management tasks such as performance feedback, training coordination, and attendance tracking.
As Machine Shop Supervisor, you will have:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and practices such as 6S, AS9100, and precision manufacturing.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in engineering or manufacturing.
- Desirable: experience in aerospace or defence, ISO14001 knowledge, and lean/green belt certification.
