We're looking for an experienced production leader who thrives in a fast paced environment to take charge of our busy distribution centre and production lines. With a team of five supervisors and around 60 people, this is a role that combines operational excellence with people leadership, making a real impact on our business performance and culture.

In this role, you’ll oversee the full production process from pre-production through to distribution. You’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, whilst motivating, supporting and inspiring your team to deliver outstanding results.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and draw up a production schedule
  • Decide on and order the resources required, ensuring stock levels remain adequate
  • Select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance
  • Set quality standards, always striving to improve processes and results
  • Ensure production is cost effective by estimating costs and agreeing budgets with clients and managers
  • Own the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
  • Monitor productivity rates and product standards, developing quality control programmes
  • Organise the repair of any damaged equipment
  • Build strong working relationships across departments, with suppliers, managers and clients
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
  • Support managers in achieving company goals
  • Collate and analyse data, producing reports for factory managers and customers
  • Engage, develop, support and lead your teams, aligning to company culture and values
  • Manage communication, from tool box talks to company announcements
  • Support team development, owning training and enabling your team to thrive

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong planning and organisational skills to run and monitor production processes
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, with experience engaging and developing teams
  • The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems
  • Capacity to grasp complex concepts easily
  • ICT literacy across relevant technologies and programmes
  • High attention to detail to maintain quality standards
  • Clear, persuasive communication with teams, managers and clients
  • Strong negotiation skills for securing materials within budget and on time
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
  • Results driven with the ability to motivate others to meet deadlines
  • A logical, systematic approach to work
