We're looking for an experienced Internal Sales Team Leader or Manager to join the team at their head office in Poole. You'll be instrumental in leading, developing, and motivating a proactive sales team, responsible for both inbound and outbound activity.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced sales environment. You'll manage a team who are quoting, advising and supporting customers with complex product requirements - so an understanding of technical sales and a commercial mindset is key.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the performance, motivation and coaching of the internal sales team
Monitor and report on team KPIs and individual targets
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of quotes and customer orders
Support your team in responding to technical enquiries across multiple channels
Proactively lead outbound activity - including account management and lead generation
Strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to uncover commercial opportunities
Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to deliver accurate solutions
Promote upselling and cross-selling across the full product range
Ensure CRM data is accurate and up to date (HubSpot)
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience:
Proven leadership experience in internal or outbound sales
Excellent communication and performance coaching skills
Strong commercial awareness and sales acumen
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
Ability to work at pace with accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable Experience:
Exposure to construction or technical product sales
Understanding of contract documents or building plans
Previous sales to contractors, developers or the trades sector
Knowledge of mechanical or natural ventilation systems (advantageous but not essential)
