HGV Class 1 Driver

Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are offering an exciting temp-perm opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 driver with our client in Poole.

As part of this role, you will be driving either an urban or artic single decked trailer, completing palletised deliveries. There will be between 6 and 12 drops per day.

Position: HGV Class 1 Driver

Days: Monday-Friday

Start time: 07:00/08:00 AM

Start date: ASAP

Location: Poole

Pay Rate: £17.37 (basic) - £19.61 (nights) - £20.73 (weekends). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.

As a HGV Driver you MUST have:

• a minimum of 6 months commercial experience in the last year
• a valid UK Class 1 licence
• a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• your own transport to get to and from work
• no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)

As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
