We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Product Designer / Product Managerwho is resourceful and has an eye for detail with the ability and driving passion for designing outstanding products for the great outdoors.
Working as the Product Designer / Product Manageryou will play a pivotal role in product development, from inception and design, through to sampling and delivery.
As the Product Designer / Product Manageryou will be a resourceful self-starter, who shall be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Outdoor Leisure Sector and preferably have experience of creating exciting outdoor camping products, throughout a period of sustained growth.
Ideally, the successful candidate will also have first-hand experience of sourcing in Asia and preferably have an avid interest in outdoor pursuits.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Product Designer / Product Managerinclude:
- Product development, from inception and design, through to sampling and delivery, adhering to the critical time paths
- Sourcing materials & manufacturers, managing cost models and development process of the brands
- Clear and accurate timelines that meet and provide the crucial link between the team members and other key departments, including the training of the sales team
- Delivering range proposals that reflect market trends and customer/consumer needs, across a selected range of the branded Product portfolio
- Supplier visits world-wide; minimum of 3 trips per annum (approx. duration/trip of 10 days) and attendance at European & UK Trade Exhibitions (minimum 2-3 events)
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong negotiation skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Superior communication skills.
- IT skills within Office applications (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint), Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
- A good understanding of colours and colour trends, with experience of textile design and interior design.
- An avid interest in Outdoor pursuits, particularly Camping would be beneficial
