This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking business in a Support Engineer role. This business have a strong product range and have been and established employer in the local area. As a business they place a large emphasis on continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing, so the role would be well suited to a candidate with a similar mindset. The business provide superb training with a defined plan in place for each position they hire, and would be well suited to a candidate with experience in an electronic/electrical/instrumentation field service type role who is looking to get off the road into a site based role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring uptime of our Ultrasonic level and density systems by reviewing the data and analysis of our live systems. Troubleshooting where issues are identified and problem resolve to fix.
  • Analysing the data and working with the R&D team to automatically improve systems
  • Develop our remote support tools, particularly to enable more automated diagnosis and improvements
  • Supporting our customers by connecting remotely to installations to check they are working correctly and troubleshooting where issues are identified
  • Work with development team on new product design and upgrades
  • Training field engineers and distributors
  • Develop our continuous improvement culture within our R&D Department

Requirements

  • Ideally 3 to 4 Years experience in field service / commissioning
  • Electronic / Electrical / Instrumentation Bias
  • Process industry experience will be beneficial
  • Engineering or technical degree or equivalent
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Willing to make occasional site visits to support development and technical sales
  • Willing to occasionally work overseas
  • Full driving licence
