We are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer / Marine Engineer for a leading engineering company, providing premium solutions to marine, agricultural, and domestic markets. We are seeking a dedicated Hydraulic Engineer / Marine Engineer to join the team. This hands-on role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic and mechanical systems, with opportunities to collaborate with senior engineers on project quoting, planning, and delivery-providing a clear route for career growth. The role is based in Portland with some travel required.
Key Responsibilities of Hydraulic Engineer / Marine Engineer
Install, service, and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults.
Install and maintain pipework, pumps, hoses, and hydraulic components.
Support project planning through part specification and procurement.
Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and related documentation.
Supervise junior engineers during projects.
Be able to work in workshop, site, and customer environments as required.
Qualifications & Skills of Hydraulic Engineer / Marine Engineer
Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, preferably in marine, agricultural, or domestic settings.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand system installation, maintenance, and repair.
Willingness to learn and work with internal project systems.
Strong IT skills.
Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently or within a team.
Flexibility to travel within the UK and abroad.
Valid UK driver's license and passport.
Must be able to travel and work in Portland
