Konnect Recruit are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a privately owned Construction company based in Portsmouth. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
  • Manage cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process
  • Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing regular updates to management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, taxes, and other financial obligations.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Accounting, ACA / ACCA or CIMA
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
