A highly successful automotive business is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join the team in Portsmouth for a fixed term contract for 12 months.Your RoleWhile in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing the preparation of the management accounts, making sure these are completed accurately and on time
  • Undertaking duties such as balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any queries seamlessly and making sure internal controls are maintained
  • Supporting the management of both bank accounts and treasury facilities, to include aspects such as cashflow forecasting and loan management
  • Providing comprehensive support with both the internal and external audits to ensure compliance with policies and financial regulations
  • Collaborating with the team on system updates to account for accounting adjustments and tax changes and to promote the accuracy of financial data
  • Managing the expectations and relationships with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and supporting key business decision-making
  • Presenting and producing financial reports, backed by detailed financial analysis for senior management professionals
  • Maintaining adherence with company policies and procedures on accounting, and ensuring that any discrepancies are reported
You MUST HavePlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) with 3+ years of post-qualified experience
  • Excellent experience from within either a financial accounting or management accounting role
  • Good technical accounting exposure, ideally from within either a leasing environment (or good technical leasing accounting) or an FCA regulated environment
  • Good systems and IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Strong leadership/team management skills
  • Exquisite communication skills, particularly in stakeholder management and engagement and convey financial information to them
