COURSEWARE MEDIA DEVELOPER (3D SPECIALIST) – CONTRACT

ROLE

The courseware Media Developer (3d Specialist) will have the skills and experience to support development of Customer Training electronic materials – nominally media content for courseware products. This requires close working with the Instructional Design Team to translate the initial storyboard media into high-quality & impactful training media content. You will need to be comfortable utilising engineering data and other technical references as part of the media development process. Development also requires strict adherence to a style guide and other associated standards to enable consistent media outputs.

AT THE COAL FACE / TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop training media as identified by the Instructional Design Team against the specified style guide and/or standards. Take ownership of allocated tasks whilst monitoring their own progress, quality and performance, reporting as required and seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Participate in and contribute to team discussions adopting and applying the direction given and complying with the required development processes.
  • Ensure compliance and coherence with the development plan, schedule and supporting documentation.
  • Utilise other toolsets as required and directed by the business (e.g. LCMS), in accordance with the directed and agreed approach.
  • Liaise with stakeholders & support any and all governance activities as required.
  • Report progress of tasks as required by more senior members of the team and/or the Media Capability Engineering Manager.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PROVEN ABILITY

  • Expert user of industry standard 3d modelling and animation software such as Autodesk 3d Studio Max.
  • Proven ability using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ideally have previously developed technical training content for military material.
  • Knowledge of developing 3d content for real-time use would be beneficial.
  • Be comfortable with development of 3d vector-based graphics.
  • Be comfortable using technical and engineering source data to aid media development.
