A growing private equity business is seeking a Interim Fractional Chief Information Officer to join the team for 2 days per week on an exciting new project in Portsmouth. This is an assignment that is predicted to be long term.Your RoleWhile in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing IT strategies that are aligned with company goals, and managing the company strategy and processes in relation to information and technology to support operations and objectives
  • Maintaining, upgrading and supporting all IT systems, including the planning and execution of IT projects within budget
  • Taking ownership of the IT budget, ensuring this aligns with financial goals
  • Keeping the security of the IT systems and data as a upmost priority, including setting measures to protect against cyber threats and ensuring that all aspects relating to this are managed in accordance with company security policies and frameworks
  • Leading the IT team, supporting training needs where needed and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensuring the day-to-day operation of the network infrastructure, software applications and data management
  • Spearheading the integration of digital technologies such as AI across the business to optimise efficiency and value
  • Proactively seeking improvement opportunities to upgrade and optimise the existing IT systems and processes
  • Managing all project data to enable collaboration with stakeholders
  • Creating and delivering training activities across the business, focussing on AI literacy and integration, to support the seamless integration of digital tools and AI into business processes
  • Reviewing the Information Security Posture, the information risk profile and systems, ensuring the company has the requisite skills required to maintain a fit-for-purpose operating system
  • Providing active contribution to the compliance requirements and accreditation for the security framework and the management of government data including ISO 27001
You MUST HavePlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Extensive experience within a comparable, relevant role, encompassing areas such as change initiatives, AI integration, cyber security, data architecture and systems development and implementation
  • Excellent knowledge of information technology, cybersecurity and various AI technologies
  • Strong commercial acumen, including substantial experience in growth strategy formation and deployment, a clear understanding of business functions and performance metrics, and knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
  • Fantastic leadership abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and developing teams to hit targets, tackle improvements and adapt to changing technologies
  • Exquisite communication abilities, particularly in speaking and presenting to internal and external stakeholders, at all levels, with the distinct ability to communicate technical and complex information in an easy-to-understand format, for non-technical audiences
  • Good project management skills as well as budget management exposure
  • Security clearance or able to conduct and pass a security clearance (SC/DV)
