Our client, a leading provider of apprenticeship training and development in the engineering sector, is seeking a Manual Machining Instructor to join their specialist engineering centre in Havant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and mentoring individuals in practical manual machining and hand fitting techniques
- Developing and preparing appropriate schemes of work and lesson plans
- Planning, preparing, and undertaking assessments of competence against awarding body standards
- Ensuring that all relevant training and assessment paperwork is completed accurately and on time
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to corporate clients
- Ensuring immediate reporting of accidents
Job Requirements:
- Level 3 Engineering Qualification
- Experience in delivering level 3 manual machining training
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Full driving licence and use of own car - highly desirable
Desirable Requirements:
- NVQ/QCF Assessor qualification
- Teaching qualification
- Experience of working in a learning environment
- Good understanding of apprenticeship frameworks
