Join our Client's dynamic team, a leader in providing professional construction, refurbishment and building maintenance. We are seeking an enthusiastic Contracts Manager to oversee a wide range of construction and refurbishment projects. This permanent position is ideal for someone eager to advance their career and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide support to the Operations Manager and Building Projects Director.
  • Coordinate the production of Pre-Construction information as required.
  • Ensure compliance with the Construction Management System (CMS) through regular checks and oversight.
  • Oversee the operational delivery of contracts, ensuring client objectives are met and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality management.
  • Reinforce safe working practices and company values consistently.
  • Take on the project role of Temporary Works Coordinator as necessary.
  • Lead and support Site Managers in the delivery of their roles.
  • Manage contracts through robust administration, programming, good commercial decision-making, and financial discipline.
  • Produce and maintain relevant construction programmes, including tender, construction, target, and weekly/monthly look-ahead as required by each project.
  • Establish and manage an effective supply chain that meets the standards and governance set by the business.
  • With the support of the Quantity Surveyor, ensure timely valuations and adherence to contractual procedures.
  • Provide progress reports and updates to clients and the Executive team.
  • Ensure contracts are working efficiently through the use of performance measures and achieving the goals set out within the business plan.
  • Identify future clients and build relationships to help secure future work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction management.
  • Proficiency in Programming Software, ideally MS Projects.
  • Professional qualification (MCIOB) or Degree/HNC in a relevant field.
  • Certified Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • First Aid (3-day course) certification.
