Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:
- Be a part of the design and implementation of large marine electrical installations, focusing on their most innovative product
- Work with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel-specific system variants
- Utilise professional drawing package EPlan
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into cutting-edge marine technology solutions
- Work with an expert team providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughout
 Electrical Design Engineer – The Person:
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. A master’s degree would be excellent
- Preferably possess some experience of large marine electrical installations, with an understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector
- Expertise in ATEX/IEC Ex rated installations is desired, with a strong focus on safety and compliance in explosive atmospheres
- Proficiency with a professional electrical drawing package is essential - EPlan is the preferred choice
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse team
Any background of working in the marine sector is useful. Even if it's where you started your career before moving on, having an appreciation of how the industry works will very much help in this role. Located on the South Coast, this role would be commutable from this role would be commutable from Portsmouth, Fareham, Port Solent, Portsmouth & Southampton.
