We’re currently hiring an Electrician to join a specialist team In Portsmouth, providing temporary electrical supplies, lighting, and shore connections to Royal Navy and entitled vessels.

You’ll be part of a dedicated Shore Connections Team, working on electrical installations for ships undergoing maintenance and supporting major events. This role includes both on-site installations and workshop prep, fault checking, and ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards. You’ll also produce installation diagrams and liaise directly with customers to ensure top-quality delivery.

£35,000 – £38,000 salary DOE, with a 37-hour work week and excellent benefits.

What do you need?

  • NVQ (or equivalent) in electrical installation and inspection

  • Recognised apprenticeship and ideally 17th (3rd AMD) or 18th Edition BS7671

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and smartphones)

  • Proactive attitude and excellent communication skills

  • Full right to work in the UK
