Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Assembly Operative to join their team based in Portsmouth. As a Assembly Operative (Spacecraft Production Operator) , you will play a crucial role in the assembly and integration of payload equipment, connectivity items, and electrical systems for the company's cutting-edge spacecraft projects.

This position has both PAYE rates and Umbrella rates available, due to it being shift work you also get a 20% uplift.


The Spacecraft Production Operator - will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Mechanical integration of payload equipment, connectivity items, test instrumentation, and wiring activities
- Interpreting technical documentation such as schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and integration procedures
- Performing automated test sequences using a Payload Test System and conducting manual RF measurements
- Ensuring test performance and checking payload equipment against specified parameters
- Maintaining workspace standards and contributing to team performance activities
- Supporting critical moves and lifting operations using overhead cranes and other equipment

To be successful in this role, the Spacecraft Production Operator - must have a strong understanding of spacecraft production processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Relevant experience in electrical and mechanical integration, as well as familiarity with COSHH requirements, is highly desirable.
