We are currently recruiting for an Estimator/QS for a leading development & construcion company in Portsmouth.

Role Description

This is a full-time roll for an Estimator / QS located in Portsmouth. The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating and preparing cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, preparing tender documents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also includes coordinating with project managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates.

Qualifications

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting skills
  • Experience in preparing tender documents and analyzing project requirements
  • Proficiency in liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
  • Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus
