The Role: What Youll Be Doing

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Full Stack Developer, youll work across the entire technology stackbuilding reliable APIs, enhancing user interfaces, and managing modern AWS-based infrastructure. You'll lead the charge in developing performant, secure, and scalable solutions, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain core platform features using Ruby on Rails.

  • Build and optimize APIs and cloud-native services to support robust analytics delivery.

  • Enhance front-end functionality with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar).

  • Manage and scale infrastructure on AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation).

  • Maintain database performance and reliability (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, and release strategies.

  • Collaborate with product, UX, and data teams to deliver impactful features.

  • Advocate best practices in code quality, DevOps, and system architecture.

  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering growth and high standards.

What Youll Bring to the Role

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and full-stack web development.

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript, React, Vue.js, or similar.

  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.).

  • Skilled in building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.

  • Familiar with CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Git-based deployments.

  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to performance and security.

  • Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments.

  • Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring others.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with WebSockets, GraphQL, or real-time data streaming.

  • Understanding of microservices or serverless architecture.

  • Exposure to data analytics platforms or AI/ML integrations.

  • Familiarity with event-driven systems and real-time data workflows.
