We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade virtualisation solutions. This role is pivotal in delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance environments using VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Horizon View. As a VMware Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) and support secure remote access deployments.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Design and implement VMware Horizon View environments within secure enterprise settings.
- Architect and optimise VMware vSAN solutions for performance and scalability.
- Manage VMware vCenter and ESXi hosts, ensuring efficient operation and security.
- Plan and deploy Horizon environments, focusing on display protocols like Blast Extreme and PCoIP, desktop pools, and application provisioning.
- Lead technical discussions with stakeholders to align architecture with business needs.
- Produce detailed documentation on design decisions and implementation guides to support the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing VMware Horizon View environments in secure enterprise settings.
- Deep knowledge of VMware vSAN architecture and performance optimisation.
- Familiarity with VMware vCenter and ESXi host management.
- Strong understanding of Horizon deployment planning, including display protocols, desktop pools, and application provisioning.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Excellent documentation skills for design decisions and implementation guides.
Desirable Skills:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) for image automation.
