Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and Qualified Teacher to join our client Primary School in Portsmouth (PO2) as a Year 2 Teacher. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to inspire young learners in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
About the Role
Position: Year 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover).
Start Date: 2nd June 2025
Working Hours: 2.5 days per week (Wednesday to Friday).
Location: Portsmouth, PO2 - a convenient and accessible area with great transport links.
Rate of Pay: From 150 per day (to be discussed with candidate)
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (Essential)
- Experience of working within a similar role (desirable)
- Evidence of, and commitment to, continuing professional development (desirable)
- A relevant degree or higher degree qualification (desirable)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
