Source Solutions are working with a trusted and reputable employer in Portsmouth, who work on the cutting edge of technology and engineering, to recruit an experienced and adaptable BoM Specialist on a permanent basis at their main site in Portsmouth, working a day shift Monday to Friday.

The BoM Specialist will lead the creation, development and maintenance of the bill of materials for product development and production, whilst also taking a broad view of governance – all within the company ERP system (company uses IFS, but experience with any ERP will be fine). The BoM Specialist will also be involved with similar work for NPI processes and projects.

The aim of the role is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of product data across numerous departments, supporting efficient manufacturing, procurement, and lifecycle management processes – all within a state of the art manufacturing environment, subscribing to a quality-first ethos.

Within the role, the BoM Specialist will work alongside a range of colleagues from engineering, manufacturing, procurement and quality. You will also ensure effective change control processes relating to bill of materials and work structures are followed (and improved where necessary), including being responsible for coordinating Change Requests (CRs) and Change Orders (Cos).

BoM Specialist Profile:

  • Excellent understanding and practical experience of BoM’s and work structures
  • Demonstrable experience in working with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with change control and change management
  • Background in manufacturing or production
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
