About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a key role in keeping our equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. From fork lift trucks and cranes to trailers, portable generators, Manitou Rotary Telehandlers, and Charlatte tow trucks, you'll ensure our diverse fleet of machinery is maintained to the highest standards.
You'll work both independently and as part of a close-knit team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and testing on mechanical systems, plant, and machinery. With a strong understanding of KPIs, you'll ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to professional standards.
What You'll Be Doing:


  • Conducting planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment.

  • Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing machinery including fork lift trucks, cranes, and plant machinery.

  • Producing clear, detailed reports to support maintenance work.

  • Working safely with technical specifications and following safe systems of work.

  • Communicating progress, issues, and updates effectively with your Team Leader.

  • Participating in a rostered on-call team for out-of-hours support as required.


What You'll Bring:


  • A strong background in mechanical engineering, either through a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Industry-recognised qualifications or working towards them, e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds.

  • Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical equipment, with confidence in fault finding and rectification.

  • Experience working to KPIs and managing tasks efficiently via mobile applications or digital systems.

  • Strong understanding of safe systems of work and health & safety practices.

  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills, with a professional, adaptable approach.
