TeamJobs is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading industrial facility in Portsmouth. This role focuses on improving and designing manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and performance.
Pay: 30-35 per hour (depending on experience) | Full-Time | Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:45, Fri 08:00-12:00
Key Responsibilities
Design and optimise manufacturing processes and layouts
Improve workflow and reduce waste using Lean principles
Collaborate with other departments to integrate improvements
Maintain process documentation and support staff training
Assist maintenance teams to prevent quipment failure
Requirements
Degree or recognised apprenticeship in Engineering
Experience in manufacturing or a related field
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Pre-employment: Drug screening required
