Control Systems Engineer

£50-70k + Pension, Life Insurance, Healthcare

Control Systems Engineer - The Role:

  • Control systems design & implementation of large marine systems

  • Work with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel specific system variants

  • Work with ATEX rated installations to ensure compliance and safety in hazardous environments

  • Utilise Beckhoff and Siemens TIA with Structured Text language

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate control systems into cutting-edge marine technology solutions

  • Provide guidance and support throughout the project life cycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughout

 

Control Systems Engineer - The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree preferred

  • Experience of marine or machinery based industrial control systems

  • Understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector is hugely beneficial but not essential

  • Experience in ATEX/IEC-Ex rated installations advantageous

  • Proficiency with Beckhoff and/or Siemens is essential

  • Ability to programme with Structured Text essential

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Must be experienced taking projects through their entire life cycle including commissioning and documentation
