Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Portsmouth. The business has been established for over 50 years and is privately owned, undertaking projects across several sectors including super prime residential, education, healthcare and care homes valuing typically up to 10mil.

As a result of some key project wins, they're now looking to expand the commercial team.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing your own projects valuing up to 5mil. You will be reporting into the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Work alongside the Estimating team for a comprehensive handover
  • Sub-contract procurement
  • Managing sub-contract packages
  • Client valuations
  • Dealing with sub-contractor variations
  • Final accounts

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:

  • Have obtained a HNC / Construction related degree
  • Have experience managing projects as the lead surveyor
  • Have strong working knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Have the full right to work in the UK
  • Live in commutable distance to Portsmouth and be happy to travel to site
