Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor on an upcoming scheme in Portsmouth. The business undertakes projects across the hotel and leisure, extra care and residential sectors valuing between 10mil - 30mil. Having recently secured a new scheme on the south coast, they're looking to expand their commercial team.

About this Quantity Surveyor role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the commercial team on an upcoming project in Portsmouth. You will be working alongside the Commercial Lead, procuring and managing key sub-contract packages. You will also contribute to monthly CVRs.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
  • Manage sub-contract procurement
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
  • Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
  • Deal with final accounts

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:

  • Have a HNC / construction related degree
  • Have administered JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Must have the full right to work in the UK
  • Must be happy to commute to Portsmouth and sites as required.
