We are working with a Tier 1 national contractor on an new major scheme near Portsmouth they are in need of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to help the team deliver the scheme.

The project is a 120 million part refurb and part new build ministry of justice scheme and is on site and underway and has 18 months left on site.

The role will be initially to manage the MEP package circa 24 million as part of the wider commercial team. You will be working alongside and managing a Project and Assistant level QS on site and have overview and responsibility for the commercial health of the packages including managing sub contract packages, procurement of materials and plant, remeasure, valuations, payments, managing variation accounts, forecasting, CVR's etc.

You will also take a lead role in the wider delivery and commercial challenges on the scheme and assist with other packages as the project gathers momentum.

Ideally you will have worked for a Tier 1 business on a major scheme and managed an MEP package or have worked for an MEP subcontractor.
