Senior Quantity Surveyor – Industrial/Logistics – Portsmouth
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + Benefits (or £350 – £400 per day, Outside IR35)

We are currently working with a highly respected, nationally recognised main contractor with a proven track record across industrial, logistics, and commercial sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and multiple long-term framework agreements secured, they are now seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their expanding commercial team, supporting a series of large-scale industrial and logistics projects in the Portsmouth region.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead all commercial and cost management activities across major industrial/logistics projects, ensuring alignment with contractual and company objectives.
•  Manage procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation, and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring best value and compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
•  Maintain detailed cost plans, forecasts, and cash flows while producing accurate financial reports for senior stakeholders and clients.
• Contract Administration – Manage main and subcontract agreements (NEC, JCT, or equivalent), including variations, change orders, valuations, and payment applications.
•  Identify risks and opportunities, driving value engineering and cost-efficiency strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
•  Work closely with project managers, design teams, and site teams to ensure strong communication, effective coordination, and successful project delivery.
Requirements
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role on large-scale industrial or logistics projects.
• Proven experience managing complex commercial packages on high-value schemes.
• Familiarity with NEC or JCT contract forms.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
• Based within commutable distance of Portsmouth (or willing to travel).
