Control Systems Engineer - The Role:
- Control systems design & implementation of large marine systems
- Work with vessel manufacturers to provide installation guidance and vessel specific system variants
- Work with ATEX rated installations to ensure compliance and safety in hazardous environments
- Utilize Beckhoff with Structured Text language
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate control systems into cutting-edge marine technology solutions
- Provide guidance and support throughout the project life cycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring technical excellence throughout
Control Systems Engineer - The Person:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree preferred
- Experience of marine or machinery based industrial control systems
- Understanding of the complexities and challenges in the marine sector is hugely beneficial but not essential
- Experience in ATEX/IEC-Ex rated installations is desired
- Proficiency with Beckhoff is desired. Training can be provided if required
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Must be experienced taking projects through their entire life cycle including commissioning and documentation
