R & D Senior Projects Manager



Portsmouth | 55,000 to 60,000 per annum | 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Temporary (12 months)

Key Duties:

  • Lead a cross-functional team to execute innovation projects.

  • Collaborate with departments including product management, subject matter experts, Fast Trak scientists, quality assurance, operations, marketing, sourcing, and legal.

  • Foster a collaborative environment to drive project success.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes and develop new, innovative solutions.

  • Create and manage project schedules, ensuring effective use of timelines, resources, and budgets.

  • Run regular project meetings, assigning, tracking, and completing actions on time.

  • Track and report project risks and issues, delivering mitigation plans as required.

  • Engage stakeholders and provide regular updates to ensure alignment with senior stakeholders.

  • Work in accordance with the Project Management tools of the Danaher Business System.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in science, engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.

  • Proven project management experience in a matrixed team environment, ideally within new product development (NPD).

  • Strong record of delivering large, cross-functional projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

  • Strong leadership skills and a solution-driven mindset.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience designing or delivering new technical services to market.

  • Foundational understanding of bioprocess manufacturing.

  • Foundational understanding of new and emerging therapeutic modalities.
