Outstanding mixed secondary school in Portsmouth seeks an empathetic and dedicated Full-Time Teacher of History for a permanent position starting September 2025. Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory, with experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
- A relevant Degree in History or a related humanities discipline, with a keen interest in the social, cultural, and ethical aspects of history.
- Proven experience teaching History at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level), with a track record of fostering both academic achievement and personal growth.
- Outstanding classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, respectful, and reflective learning environment where challenging topics can be discussed constructively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective dialogue about complex historical and ethical issues with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, adhering to all school policies and statutory requirements.
