Maths Teacher - Full-Time | Permanent Role | January 2026 Start | Portsmouth

Are you a dedicated and inspiring Maths Teacher with a passion for helping students develop confidence and success in mathematics?

Quantum Scholars is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Portsmouth, which is seeking a talented Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis starting in January 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • (KS5 teaching may be available depending on experience)

  • Use creative and effective teaching strategies to support all learners, regardless of ability

  • Develop students' problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical thinking skills

  • Contribute to the Maths department's continued success through collaboration and innovation

  • Take part in extracurricular activities, including Maths clubs, competitions, and intervention sessions

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback



Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject

  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the UK Maths curriculum

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students through dynamic and accessible teaching

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A positive, team-oriented approach with a commitment to ongoing professional development
