Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality social work services to children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans to support children in need, working collaboratively with families and other professionals.
- Manage a caseload effectively, adhering to statutory guidelines and local policies.
- Offer guidance and support to junior social workers and contribute to their professional development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to decision-making processes for the welfare of children.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in all processes.
Person Specification
- Social Work England registration is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of post-qualifying experience in a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a varied and demanding workload.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices in social work.
- Proven experience in handling complex cases and making informed decisions under pressure.
