Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the SEND policy in line with statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the provision for pupils with SEND, ensuring appropriate support and interventions.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to identify and meet individual learning needs.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Lead and manage the SEND team, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (if applicable), supporting the school’s safeguarding procedures.
