TeamJobs is working with a well-established logistics company in Portsmouth who are looking for an experienced General Cargo Coordinator to join their busy operations team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping things moving - from coordinating cargo arrivals to liaising with transport providers and ensuring smooth, compliant operations every step of the way.
A typical day as a General Cargo Coordinator will include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for customers, hauliers, and internal teams.
- Planning and coordinating cargo arriving and leaving the terminal.
- Managing customs processes for imports, exports, and the External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF).
- Maintaining accurate data on Warehouse Management and Customer Systems.
- Supporting warehouse operations with documentation, labelling, and stock control.
- Delivering a high level of customer service and communication at all times.
What you will need:
- Experience in Shipping, Logistics, Distribution or Warehousing
- Knowledge of customs procedures and stock control
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and data systems)
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Forklift licence and driving licence (preferred - training can be provided)
