Wirral Council is seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking leader to take on the role of Head of Revenues & Benefits. The Role

As Head of Revenues & Benefits, you will:

  • Lead and inspire our Revenues & Benefits teams, setting clear strategy, policy, and service direction.
  • Build strong relationships with elected members, partners, and stakeholders to align priorities and deliver shared outcomes.
  • Champion a digital-first approach, embedding automation and AI to streamline processes and improve the customer experience.
  • Play a key role in implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring it delivers efficiency and meets service needs.
  • Manage large-scale budgets, providing accurate forecasts and delivering savings targets.
  • Maximise government subsidies and grants while minimising financial risk.
  • Drive service transformation, continuous improvement, and innovation in line with the Wirral Plan.
  • Provide trusted advice and support to Councillors on Revenues & Benefits matters.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer focus.

About You
