Your new companyA two-form entry school in the Wirral area is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support their KS2 department. You will be required to work with one of the year 5 class teachers. You will be responsible for a small group of pupils with learning difficulties.Your new role
- Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials
- Ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum
- Supporting pupils with special needs, preparing individual resources for pupils who need them
- Working closely with the class teacher, planning lessons and activities and assessing progress
- To create a positive working and learning environment in the classroom.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 6 months experience working as a Teaching Assistant within the last two years particularly in KS2
- You will be able to work on your own initiative without supervision, you will have strong behaviour management skills and be able to differentiate work depending on the ability of individuals in your group.
- Ideally the school would like a qualified teaching assistant but a candidate with classroom-based experience within KS2 will also be considered.
