Your new company
A primary school based in Bebington on the Wirral is looking to appoint an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher to take their Year 6 class from September 2025. This is a full time position for one academic year in the first instance.

This role is being managed by Hays Education, a leading education specialist recruitment agency. We work specifically with primary schools across the Wirral and can support you in finding your ideal role based on your needs in terms of location, school type, hours, salary etc.

Your new role
This is a two form entry school so you will be working alongside a partner Year 6 teacher to ensure the children are ready for their Year 6 SATs and the transition to secondary education. Prior experience of working in KS2 is essential, and previous experience leading SATs would also be an advantage. You will be responsible for all planning, teaching and assessment for your class as well as being a source of support for your partner teacher.

What you'll need to succeed
For this Year 6 class teaching job you will need:

  • QTS
  • A proven record of working in KS2 (year 6 if possible) that can be referenced
  • Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and effectively share planning and resources
  • Experience of leading Year 6 SATs would be an advantage
