We are seeking a dedicated History teacher for a secondary school on the Wirral who can bring the past to life and empower students aged 11-16 to think critically about the world around them. This is a long-term position due to start in September 2025 and will be full time on an ongoing basis.

Pay: 150 - 220 per day (based on experience)

Key Duties:

  • Teach History lessons to students aged 11-16 following the school curriculum.
  • Create interesting and clear lessons that help students learn and enjoy History.
  • Check and record student progress, giving feedback to help them improve.
  • Plan lessons and activities that encourage students to think and ask questions.
  • Keep the classroom a positive and respectful place for learning.
  • Talk to parents about their child's progress when needed.
  • Support extra activities like history clubs or school trips when possible.
