Laboratory Manager
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 (DOE)
Location: Liverpool, L33
Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:45am - 5pm

Role Overview:
The Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Contract Test Laboratory and its staff, ensuring the accurate testing of customer and QC samples. The role involves managing laboratory operations, maintaining quality standards, liaising with clients, and supporting the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and GMP compliance.

The Key Responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager:
* Respond to customer enquiries and provide quotations
* Manage sample booking, storage, handling, and disposal
* Organise analysis of bacterial endotoxin and glucan concentration
* Coordinate with third-party labs for additional services
* Oversee QC sample analysis and certification
* Review documentation produced by technicians
* Generate customer reports and ACCI QC certificates
* Manage sample disposal documentation
* Handle customer invoicing via ACCI accounts
* Archive documentation for customer and internal audits
* Validate and calibrate lab equipment
* Apply good laboratory practices and GMP standards
* Liaise across departments to meet deadlines
* Maintain and improve ISO 9001 procedures
* Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for departmental activities
* Supervise staff development plans (PDPs)
* Ensure Health & Safety compliance and documentation
* Promote awareness of HR processes and company policies
* Prepare and submit monthly management reports
* Contribute flexibly to company goals

Experience:
* Proven managerial experience in a laboratory setting
* Experience working in a GMP-compliant environment
* Direct customer interaction experience
Education:
* Scientific degree preferred or working towards one
