Job Title: Projects Finance Assistant
Function: Finance
Location: Knowsley (Hybrid working available)

Job Purpose:
To support the financial management of projects across all UK regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance team to ensure project financial information is accurate and up to date.

  • Set up new projects in the accounting system based on information provided by the sales and project teams.

  • Assist with monthly revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.

  • Liaise with the sales team regarding new and ongoing projects.

  • Update and amend project budgets as required.

  • Raise project sales invoices and liaise with logistics to prepare and process invoices for overseas projects.

  • Assist with the month-end work-in-progress (WIP) process.

  • Represent finance in project handover meetings.

  • Support both internal and external audits from a project finance perspective.

  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting relating to project revenue.

  • Liaise with international teams regarding commission calculations for overseas projects.

  • Carry out general administrative and ad hoc finance duties as required.

  • Follow all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts department.

  • AAT qualification (part or fully qualified) or equivalent is desirable.

  • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Office.

  • Working knowledge of accounting software.

  • Good commercial and financial understanding.
