About Our School:

Our partnership school provides excellent education in a positive, supportive community. We need a hardworking Site Manager to ensure our buildings and grounds are well-maintained for students and staff.

The Role:

As School Site Manager, you'll manage daily school operations, including security, maintenance, and general upkeep, ensuring a safe, functional, and well-presented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security: Securely open/close premises, monitor site, operate alarms/CCTV, liaise with security.

  • Maintenance: General repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrics), ensure facilities function, supervise specialist repairs, manage inventory.

  • Grounds: Maintain grounds, including litter picking, gardening, ensure safe access (snow clearing, gritting), maintain sports facilities.

  • Health & Safety: Conduct checks/risk assessments, ensure compliance (COSHH, fire, asbestos), maintain records, act as H&S key holder.

  • General: Set up for events, liaise with contractors/suppliers, assist staff, manage lettings, respond to emergencies, supervise site staff, support sustainability.

What We Are Looking For:

Practical skills in maintenance, DIY, and building maintenance; understanding of school H&S; ability to work independently and prioritize; strong communication skills; reliability, a proactive attitude, and physical fitness. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Experience managing budgets and resources. Basic IT skills.
