Gafoor is a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston. They are a key player in their sector supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers nationally.
About the Role:
As our SHE Manager, you will lead the site's SHE agenda, ensuring that safety, health, and environmental standards are not only met but embedded into our workplace culture. You will provide technical guidance, drive proactive measures, and engage stakeholders at all levels to achieve best-in-class SHE performance.
Excellent communication skills and team work are a must for this role as well as a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the needs of the business are met.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set and deliver against SHE objectives and targets.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and industry best practices.
- Lead incident investigations and oversee corrective actions.
- Work closely with senior management and operational teams to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Maintain strong relationships with external regulators and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and keep up to date with evolving legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
- Deliver safety training and promote a positive health and safety culture.
About you:

- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), IEMA Associate Certificate, and ideally CMIOSH.
- 3-5 years in a SHE role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of H&S culture development, environmental legislation, and project management.
- Proactive, collaborative, confident, and results-driven.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC) preferred but not essential.
