Are you passionate about justice, road safety, and making a tangible difference in your community? The local police force is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SRU Prosecution Facilitation Officer to join their Safer Roads Unit. This is a vital role supporting road safety and justice by preparing and managing prosecution cases for specified offences in the Magistrates’ Court.
This role is office based and located in Hutton.
About the Role
As a Prosecution Facilitation Officer, you will:
- Prepare and upgrade case files to trial-ready standards.
- Liaise with CPS and HMCTS to ensure timely and accurate case progression.
- Provide expert advice on specified offences and legal procedures.
- Manage disclosure responsibilities and support court presentation officers.
- Contribute to the development of efficient criminal justice processes.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in administrative roles handling confidential information.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and police IT systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in a criminal justice or legal environment.
- Knowledge of specified proceedings and court protocols.

This is a temporary role is for an initial 6 months, working full-time, paying between £18.41 per hour PAYE.Â
