The Role:
We are currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in various SEN provisions in Preston. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting students and teachers in the classroom, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will be working under the guidance of qualified teachers, providing valuable assistance to students across different subjects and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Provide support to students during lessons, both individually and in small groups.
- Help students with learning activities, ensuring they understand instructions and stay on task.
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of students.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and other school staff.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities.
- Participate in school activities and events.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be passionate about education and supporting students.
- Be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
- Be committed to the well-being and safeguarding of children.
Desirable:
- Experience working with young people (voluntary or paid).
- Knowledge of the UK education system.
- A desire to pursue a career in teaching.
