- Assist the teacher in delivering lessons by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and helping with classroom management.
- Provide one-on-one support for students who need additional help.
- Keep records of pupil progress and behaviour where needed.
- Help manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Supervise the classroom if the teacher is briefly unavailable (e.g., stepping out)
- Encourage good hygiene, punctuality, and positive behaviour.
- Accompany students on school trips or off-site activities as required.

- Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges or
- Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or
- Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools or
- Previous work experience in a Teaching assistant role.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills – evidenced by GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grades 9–4 (A–C)
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Provide references of previous employment.
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
