An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading consultancy delivering high-integrity engineering solutions for the nuclear sector. The role involves designing, modelling, and documenting complex electrical systems for safety-critical environments, supporting major UK nuclear clean-up, decommissioning, and new build projects.

This role would suit a technically confident electrical engineer with experience in the nuclear or other highly regulated sectors. Ideal candidates are precise, innovative, and thrive in complex, safety-focused projects. The position is perfect for someone who enjoys collaborating remotely while ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for nuclear facilities, including power distribution, control systems, and specialist high-integrity installations.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, wiring diagrams, equipment schedules, and reports.
  • Undertake 3D modelling and coordination using industry-standard software and BIM tools.
  • Support decommissioning, containment, and new build projects by delivering safe, reliable electrical designs.
  • Ensure all designs comply with UK nuclear regulatory requirements, codes, and best practices.


In return you'll be fully remote with occasional trips to high security sites. You'll have a salary up to 65k, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and a competitive package.
