Our client, a major player in Defence & Security, is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer to work on the Qatar Hawk project. Based in Warton, this contract role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and functionality of military aircraft systems in a hybrid working environment.





  • This role is responsible for the development, improvement and maintenance of the Product Integrity - Airworthiness (AW) Capability Discipline ensuring the Discipline has the necessary Capability to deliver against its objectives. As a competent/practitioner level Engineer on Product Integrity (PI) the role is responsible for ensuring an effective Engineering Management System across Air for the design, development and assurance of AW deliverables, including providing AW SME advice to Project and Product teams on the necessary capability needed to deliver PI deliverables to the required quality to meet Corporate and Legal


Job Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM subject.
  • Typically 5-10 years experience in aircraft design and development.
  • Proficient use of MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint.
  • Confident in the use of engineering toolsets.
  • Good communication, supervisory and team working skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of military and civil airworthiness regulatory environments
  • Understanding of AW standards such as CS25/CAP 722
  • Previous experience with MoD / DE&S would
