Head of Finance | Public Sector | Permanent | Lancashire
Castlefield Recruitment are working with a reputable Public Sector client based in Lancashire in order to recruit a Head of Finance initially on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation that is central to its community.Role:In your role as Head of Finance you will lead the finance team and be heavily involved in day-to-day, hands-on running of the finance function.
Duties will include:
- Leading and managing the Finance team including allocation, monitoring and review of work, carrying out appraisals, training and personal development, resource planning and running regular team meetings
- Preparing monthly management accounts and forecasts (including Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements) with supporting commentary, and KPIs
- Ensuring Financial Regulations and Procedures are adhered to and are updated on a regular basis
- Ensuring that effective budgetary controls are in place and that budget holders and management receive regular and timely reports on performance against budgets
- Providing strategic leadership to ensure the organisation meets its corporate objectives
The successful candidate:
- Will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA, or equivalent)
- Have experience within the Public Sector
- Have a proven leadership approach
